Welcome to the Monsieur Bryan website!

My name is Bryan Dawson - also known as Monsieur Bryan.
Based in South Derbyshire, I offer private tuition to small groups and individuals in both French and Music for all levels.

I am a very experienced tutor, and following my retirement after 30 years as a secondary school French teacher I now offer private tuition to students of all ages.
I can help students with their schoolwork, studies and ongoing homework projects.

Primary or Secondary and Sixth Form School ages are covered, teaching in a fun way, making learning accessible and enjoyable.

I also teach and tutor to Degree Level in all aspects and disciplines of the French Language.

Owing to my personal enjoyment of music, I use songs and music to enhance the way that I tutor French, using a different approach along side more 'traditional' teaching and learning methods to maximise success.

My students have attained good grades in both GCSE and A'Level, and found the learning process most enjoyable.

Located in Derbyshire, in a village south of the city of Derby, I cover a wide area of the county covering South Derbyshire, South of Nottingham and North West Leicestershire, and can tutor at your home. I am experienced in working with children of all ages and hold full CRB Disclosure.

As well as tutoring French, I also offer Music Lessons for all ages from young children through to adults.

When not tutoring, I play in a folk band, and together with my wife I perform as Double Capers and can organise your Folk Evening,
Barn Dance or Ceilidh, ideal for your parties, weddings and social events.
